Every hybrid ceramic bearing contains a chrome metal retainer that holds the seven balls made out of pure zirconium oxide (ZrO2). These bearings are not coated like some competitors! Protected from the elements by two fully serviceable rubber shields, these bearings will allow you to obtain a higher speed and acceleration capability especially in the world of 100mm wheels. Ceramic balls are also much harder which offers great wear resistance than the conventional steel ball bearing. Additionally, lubrication requirements are reduced since there is lower friction and heat generated by the bearing.
